Learning Wushu can improve your child’s health and self-defense; enhance your child’s strength, endurance, flexibility and agility; develop your child’s mind and improve your concentration; practicing martial arts requires standard sitting and standing postures, which can correct your child’s hunched back in time. Problems such as sloping shoulders, promote children’s physical development; cultivate teenagers’ self-confidence and sense of achievement; experience rich traditional Chinese culture.
Funded by Foundation North, Univision Community Trust is hosting a Youth Wushu programme for tamariki and rangatahi aged 5-15 at Onehunga!
You will learn fundamental Kungfu skills and perform basic movements with instructor Nan Zhang, a national champion from China. There are also interesting warmup activities and opportunities to practise with your mates.
