Since 2012, the Junior Golf Course has been held, and after more than 10 years, Univision has promoted golf at the price of ordinary people, trained many outstanding students, and accumulated many successful experiences.
Golf is one of the healthiest sports and New Zealand has the highest number of golf courses per capita in the world. There are more than 400 golf courses in the whole country from south to north, each of which has its own uniqueness and beautiful scenery. Teenagers who practice golf since childhood can cultivate their physique, temper their character, stay away from computers and games at home, get close to nature, experience an elegant environment, and benefit for a lifetime!

Akarana Junior Golf Class
Marcus Wheelhouse was formerly a professional golfer and is now recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading golf coaches. In 1995, he was ranked World No.1 in amateur golf and was also awarded New Zealand Sportsman of the Year. He competed internationally across Europe, the United States, and other countries before returning to New Zealand in 2007 to begin his coaching career.
Marcus was once ranked the No.1 amateur golfer in New Zealand and competed on tour for 12 years. Today, he is regarded as one of New Zealand’s top golf teaching professionals and was named NZPGA Coach of the Year in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Univision Community Trust has partnered with the Marcus Wheelhouse coaching team for more than ten years to provide small-group youth golf programmes at Akarana Golf Club. Through this collaboration, students in Central Auckland have the opportunity to learn from coaches within the award-winning Marcus Wheelhouse coaching team.

Class Time: Thursday 16:00-17:00
Tuition: $30 per class, payable by term.
Class Size: Maximum 6 students per class.
